John Gilbert

John is more than a photographer, a painter, or an illustrator. He's an artist. He's a creator.

In 2022 he became Director of the Shades of Gray and Annual New Mexico Photographic Art Shows.

These shows promote and inspire fellow artists to improve their skills and provide a venue for local New Mexico photographers.

In a manner of depicting the mysterious, John is fond of modifying the classic into an alternate reality. Not to confuse the viewer but to make them think, allow them to fantasise.

Using his vast collection of self created images and a variety of miniature sets he has crafted, John has created a world that is strange and familiar.
